For the past five years, Plan International USA has been focused on achieving gender equality by changing 10 million lives around the world and raising $200 million for this effort. With that goal in sight, it’s now time for us to set even more ambitious goals to ensure all girls are seen, heard and economically successful.
To get us there and lead Plan into the future, the board of directors has appointed Shanna Marzilli as President and CEO. Shanna joined Plan in 2013 as Chief Marketing Officer. She served as Interim CEO for seven months prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer in April 2022.
As he steps down as CEO, the board would like to thank Mustafa Kudrati for his service to Plan and his dedication to girls’ rights.
“We are pleased to have Shanna Marzilli lead Plan into our next strategic phase,” Board Chair Ann O’Brien said. “As a board, we are confident Plan and its staff are well positioned to meet our ambitious goals. We are grateful for Mustafa’s willingness to give his expertise to Plan over the past 10 months and his dedication to girls’ rights.”
