Jackson first learned about Plan International USA when he worked on a project in Peru in 2013.
“I saw the Youth Advisory Board as an opportunity to bring my unique perspective to discussions about issues pertinent to young people, topics about which I am passionate,” he said.
Jackson has a goal of becoming a medical professional, and would love to find himself working in global health. His experience in Peru has made him incredibly passionate about Latin American history and culture, particularly the Inca Empire.
Perhaps his most impactful moment at Plan was during the Youth Action Summit in Hamburg, Germany in 2016.
“It afforded me the opportunity to engage with youth involved in Plan networks from various countries and gave me a lot of perspective on the work that other youth do throughout Plan,” he said.
