Judithe Registre
Program Director - Because I am a Girl Campaign
Judithe Registre has been a program director at Plan International USA for the Because I Am a Girl campaign since joining Plan in October 2012. During her time at Plan, she has worked on a wide variety of topics, including program leadership and strategy, staff capacity building, and fundraising for the Because I am a Girl campaign. Judithe is a Fellow alumnus of the prestigious Salzburg Seminar, a forum for the discussion of international problems and their potential solutions. She is also a member of the Council on Women’s Leadership at Meridian International Center.
Judithe has nearly 20 years of experience in international development, including more than 12 years of substantive fieldwork on conflict and post-conflict issues in developing countries such as Burkina Faso, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, El Salvador, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Rwanda, South Sudan, and South Africa. She has worked and travelled extensively across Africa, Asia, Europe, and South and Central America. Before joining Plan, she served as the Director of Policy and Outreach for Women for Women International (WFWI) in London and Washington, DC. Before joining WFWI, she worked for the International Foundation for Election Systems and Africare.
Judithe has a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Boston College, a master’s Degree in Philosophy and Social Policy from American University, and a master’s Certificate in Advanced Social Research from Afrikaans University, South Africa.
