Leon Mwotia is a global marketing and business development leader with nearly two decades of experience scaling technology platforms across markets and industries. He currently leads global partner marketing for payments at Apple, driving developer adoption, strategic partnerships and regulatory communications across the App Store ecosystem.
Mwotia has held leadership roles at Uber and Airbnb, where he spearheaded go-to-market strategies, regional operations and high-growth international launches. His expertise spans platform strategy, cross-functional execution and global market expansion, particularly at the intersection of product, policy and growth.
Raised in Kenya and now based in San Francisco, Mwotia is passionate about youth empowerment and gender equality. He draws on his private-sector experience to advance Plan’s mission of expanding opportunity and removing structural barriers for children and girls around the world. Mwotia holds a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration from McGill University, where he remains active in alumni engagement.
