Paul Chobanian
Chief Financial Officer
Paul Chobanian (he/him) is the Chief Financial Officer at Plan International USA, an international humanitarian and development organization that that advances children’s right and equality for girls. With more than 85 years of experience, Plan works to transform lives in over 80 countries.
As Chief Financial Officer, Paul oversees the organization’s financial strategy, operations and information technology systems. The role ensures fiscal transparency, regulatory compliance, and long-term sustainability while supporting cross-functional collaboration and data-driven decision-making.
With over 15 years of public and private accounting experience, Paul began his career at PwC, also known as PricewaterhouseCoopers, in Boston, specializing in the health industries sector with various biotech, government research, medical devices and manufacturing clients.
Paul received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and master’s degree from the University of Connecticut. A certified public accountant licensed in the state of Massachusetts, Paul is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Humentum. He is also certified in USAID Assistance Management.
Paul is an adjunct professor at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
