Sandra Cheah (she/her)

Sandra is an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania. She joined Plan’s Youth Leadership Academy in 2020 and became a Youth Advisory Board member in 2022. 

She represented Plan International as a youth delegate at the United Nations 69th Commission on the Status of Women, where she engaged more than 150 stakeholders across governments, NGOs and the private sector on addressing technology-facilitated gender-based violence. 

Sandra has also served on Plan’s Global Young Influencer Group and the Girls Get Equal Group, where she co-wrote a petition calling for increased digital literacy and co-developed recommendations for social media companies to combat online harassment. She advised on the State of the World’s Girls report and participated in multiple corporate takeovers, including with USAID, Uniqlo, Vertex, Comic Relief and The Female Quotient.
